Getting to know Darwin Morales-Medina
Good evening everyone in Georgia State. My name is Darwin Morales-Medina. I have a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Phoenix, with a specialty in Mental Health, Marriage and Family, Child and Teen, and Forensic Scenery. I’m an LPC in Georgia and Puerto Rico, and a PMT in Florida. In addition, I provide services in Florida under the Compact Program, which includes 16 other states in the United States of America.
I’m a Certified Mentor to supervise counselors during their internships. My experience in the mental health profession spans the last 18 years, providing services to different populations that include Couples Counseling, Pre-Marriage Counseling, Family Counseling, Spiritual Counseling, and working with various mental and emotional disorders such as Autism, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Depressive Mood, and other pathologies.
In addition, I have been a Bishop of the Christian Church for the last 15 years, providing Pastoral Counseling, Conferences, and Consulting during this time. My experience also includes 3 years as a university professor and supervisor of counseling students during their master’s level internships.
I am a professional who constantly works with Spanish-speaking clients to provide services of excellence. If you need services in Spanish, you are welcome to start therapy with me.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

For the first time, in a long time after seeing many doctors and counselors, we feel that we finally found the right therapist. It is impressive that he wants to go to the bottom of the problem and find the root cause of the problem. This is the first time that we see a specialist who wants to see lab values to recommend a prescription instead of jumping directly to prescribe a medicine. This is extremely good. Also, Therapist Darwin was able to put a name on what is my problem, also important. We are really happy with him, and we would recommend him to anybody looking for an excellent therapist. He also speaks our primary language, which is Spanish, to avoid having lost in translation problems, super important too.
