My approach My approach to therapy is based on a foundation and training in Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. This varied background allows me to build strong rapport and trust with my clients so that together we can explore the issues and concerns affecting them. My focus My focus is multilevel, depending on the needs of the client(s). I work with individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, or anger management. I assist couples in navigating communication challenges, relationship issues, and various addictions. My work with families involves parenting concerns, especially with special needs children, as well as blended families and adoption. My communication style My communication style is interactive. I guide the conversation, but clients never feel like they are being interrogated. I step back to allow clients to express their thoughts and feelings while asking questions to ensure I fully understand their perspective. My journey to mental healthcare Early in life, I worked a variety of jobs, from managing a Starbucks to managing a bank. It was when I became a therapist that I truly found my place in the world.
