David Diaz, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is David Diaz, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Global and Brandman University. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults experiencing difficulties due to anxiety, depression, substance/alcohol use, and trauma. I use CBT, ACT, psychodynamic, Solution-Focused Therapy, and TF-CBT to help clients overcome challenges frustrating their lives. My approach I identify where clients want to be and what strengths they already possess. I use CBT, ACT, and psychodynamic methods to add or modify skills to help overcome challenges. When trauma is involved, TF-CBT is a helpful tool to get clients back on track. My focus My experience equips me to work with teens and adults facing life transitions. These challenges often cause anxiety, depression, relational issues, or a lost sense of purpose. I assist clients in developing a healthy vision for their lives and help them attain the skills needed to fulfill that vision. My communication style I communicate openly, honestly, and empathetically. I want clients to see me as genuine, compassionate, and sincere, and to feel they can trust me with anything they want to discuss. My journey to mental healthcare I enjoy helping people. Since my teenage years, I have been driven to help others through community projects, ministry, or as a friend. The desire to help someone overcome obstacles preventing progress is what drives me and led me to become a therapist. My goals for you I work closely with clients to identify what they want and how to achieve it.
