Hi there, I'm David! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #147386) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC #15666). Through therapy, I work with clients to help them see the positive storylines in their lives. I believe that each client has the main ingredient for success in therapy: hope. My focus I love working with young adults who are trying to find out who they are. My clients are motivated and driven, yet searching for deeper meaning and purpose in their lives. They often feel they have unmet needs or goals they want to achieve but have yet to accomplish. My approach Having worked with individuals and couples over the past 6 years, I've been able to offer compassion to people who have been in environments where they could not be open about their mental health or only experienced tough love. My communication style I prioritize having a warm supportive environment where clients can feel free to share without judgment. My journey to mental healthcare Growing up I had a desire to be active in helping people and an interest in psychology. Early in college, I took a psychology course which further sparked my interest in the field of psychotherapy. Through continued psychology courses and meaningful work experiences in the field of mental health, I decided to become a therapist. My goals for you I help clients set and reach treatment goals through a collaborative approach, setting clear objectives about goals they want to reach, then identifying unique resources they have to help them reach their goals, and providing them with additional insights and tools as needed. Our first session In our first session, we'll start with introductions, then dive into the challenges you're facing and hopes for our work together.
