Getting to know David Woodrum

Hello, I'm David. If you're looking for a therapist who can work with you outside of the regular 8am to 5pm schedule, you've come to the right place. I offer video-delivered therapy in the evenings, early mornings (6am to 8pm EST), and on weekends (mornings and evenings), allowing you to meet with me from the privacy, convenience, and comfort of your own home. My practice focuses on supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and general therapy needs. I utilize a variety of therapeutic styles, ranging from brief, solution-focused approaches to deeper exploration and resolution of past issues and cognitive behavioral techniques. I believe in tailoring my approach to fit each client's unique needs, ensuring that our sessions are both effective and meaningful. With 20 years of experience in various mental health-related roles and over 6 years providing individual, group, and family therapy, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our sessions. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado, Nevada, Texas, and Virginia, and I am also licensed as a Mental Health Teletherapy Social Worker in Idaho. I hold a Master of Social Work from Radford University (Radford, VA) and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA). My specialties include working with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, family and intimate relationships, life transitions, OCD, sleep disorders, stress, trauma, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ support, and PTSD. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards your personal goals. I understand that reaching out for help can be a big step, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or just need someone to talk to, I am here to help. Let's work together to create a path towards healing and growth.
