Are you feeling that no matter how hard you try, it's never enough? Negative thoughts can impact our identity, relationships, health, and ultimately our happiness. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Professional in both Florida and North Carolina. I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Growth and Development from Mount Vernon College/George Washington University and my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am also a Certified Addictions Professional and Certified Prevention Professional and have significant experience with individuals struggling with co-occurring diagnoses. I believe that our most challenging times can also be our greatest opportunity for change and growth. With the right perspective and proper non-judgmental support, I will assist in the transition to build a stronger, more resilient you. My approach to treatment is client-centered and based in compassion and acceptance. My experience over the past twenty-five years has included work in a number of mental health settings, including private practice with couples and individuals. I am credentialed in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, have worked with many experiencing trauma, am certified in pet-assisted therapy, hold advanced certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and am a member of the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) as a first responder. My style is warm, friendly, and genuine. Reaching out can be very scary and intimidating, and I will do all that I can to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable.
