Getting to know Deanna Spence

I have been a practicing clinician for 6 years, with experience in diverse settings ranging from private practice to intensive inpatient psychiatric care. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with honors from Capella University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. Having previously served in the US Air Force, I have a special place in my heart for our military and veteran populations. As a family- and future-oriented individual, I understand the importance of a systems approach in the healing process. I believe in the power of connections to support us in reaching our goals. I enjoy working with teens and adults, and I am passionate about helping younger clients manage life’s stressors so they can grow into independent and successful young adults. As your therapist, I will work alongside you and empower you to become the best version of yourself.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I support you to increase your own self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-esteem to instill empowerment and motivation for you to succeed with your life goals. I will help by providing a supportive, safe space, for you to be heard and to heal. Together we will learn various skills, techniques, and learn to process underlying problem areas. Together we will work to increase and enhance your well-being.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
