Getting to know Deborah Bayles

It's another day, and you're filled with worry, anxiety, and dread. Thoughts keep cycling in your mind, and you feel sad, hopeless, and helpless. I'm Deborah Bayles, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Counseling from National University. I can tell you that you don't have to continue feeling this way. You can gain the tools and skills you need to live in a calm, joyful, and fulfilling way by giving yourself the gift of therapy. Allow me to safely companion you and help you learn effective, evidence-based techniques to release the traumas of the past and the worries of the future. When you fully learn to inhabit the present moment, you can take control and responsibility for your life with power and confidence. Therein lies true healing. With an extensive background in business, education, technology, eldercare, and psychotherapy, chances are I understand what you're facing in the "real world" and can help you. I invite you to start a new way of thinking and looking at your world. I'm here for you through private, HIPAA-compliant online teletherapy, now and in the foreseeable future. I serve California residents exclusively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

We'll lay the groundwork for our future sessions in our first session. I'll explain how therapy works, and ask you about what areas you want to work on, what your goals are for therapy, and what a successful outcome would look like for you. Most of all, I'll listen to you and try to make our time together safe and judgment-free. During our weekly one-hour sessions, we'll look at any outworn or harmful behavioral adaptations you've made to cope with your past traumas or challenges. Then we'll work on replacing those adaptations with new, healthier ways of thinking and behaving. You'll still be you at the end of our work together, but you'll be more peaceful, confident, and effective.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
