Hello, I'm Deborah. Traumatic events can have a massive impact on our lives. Many events can lead to trauma, including accidents, sexual abuse, violence, loss of a loved one, natural disasters, medical crises, and more. Surviving trauma can often leave us stuck. We may end up struggling with patterns of substance use, depression, anxiety, and rage as a result. In short, after experiencing something awful, we may be looking for a way to manage the pain. But it may feel like nothing actually helps. We may feel powerless. And our relationship to ourselves and others suffers. I believe deep healing and thriving are absolutely possible. We have to commit to the hard, brave work of looking inward and excavating our history with compassion and curiosity instead of blame and shame. We have to learn to love and accept ourselves. We can find resilience and reclaim our wholeness. It's so worth it. My job is to help you get to know yourself better so that you can live the life you want and thrive. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (MA), I have many years of training in trauma work. My specialties include PTSD, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, anger management, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, eating disorders, family relationships, grief/bereavement, life transitions, intimate/romantic relationships, sex/intimacy issues, spirituality, stress, and suicidal ideation and/or self-harming. Together we will work with the tools of somatic work, mindfulness, meditation, and deep listening to find healing and a greater connection to self. If you're ready to start this journey towards healing and self-discovery, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Let's work together to help you thrive.
