Hi there, I'm DeBree! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University. I provide telehealth services statewide in Florida and South Carolina. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in chronic illness, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and depression. I look forward to taking this journey with you. My approach My treatment approach is integrative, flexible, and unique to each individual. Treatment focuses on the needs and goals of each person. My most frequently used treatment modalities include psychodynamic, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy. My focus I am comfortable working with diverse conditions. I've been fortunate to work with several populations and backgrounds. I have created a niche for chronic illness, trauma, anxiety, and depression. My communication style Therapy creates YOUR space-a space to pick pieces apart and leave it all on the floor. My communication style is attentive listening, personable, and realistic. My journey to mental healthcare Social work chose me! When I wrote my personal essay for my MSW, I realized social work had always surrounded me. I remember helping elderly neighbors, teaching friends how to count money, and researching services for my autistic brother. There were many events between those moments and yet to come. I always desired to help people. My brother's diagnosis widened my eyes to my calling, but life had other plans, and I became a secretary. As a secretary, I found myself hired in the mental health arena, including AIDS research, mental health, addiction services, and college counseling. Social work is my second career, but it's always been my first passion. I pull from both my personal and professional experiences and allow these experiences to teach and mold me.
