My ideal client has made a decision to change something. Issues such as difficulties in early childhood, family and relational problems, has experienced trauma and is having difficulty in several aspects of their life. This client has trouble feeling self confident or standing up for themselves without being afraid or angry. They have difficulty setting boundaries with others, particularly family members or bullies at work. They also may have experienced panic, and more often, feelings of anxiety that interfere with decision making and sleep. They may not know what their goals are except to feel better. I can help with these by helping the client change their thinking, and by teaching coping strategies that will enable them to manage their emotional life in a way that helps them to achieve life goals.
