“Deirdre Is very easy to talk to. She does not pressure you to speak on topics that are uncomfortable and provides tools that help guide you through difficult situations when you are own your own. As my first time in therapy my mental health since being able to talk with Deirdre has improved tremendously and that is with the help of my therapist being so warm and non judgmental for me to be able to express myself and work though my issues. I applaud Deirdre for her professionalism and dedication to provide me with this care I continue to better myself with her assistance and I would recommend her 1000x over.”

Getting to know Deirdre Wilson

Hi, I’m Deirdre, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina with a Master’s in Social Work from Winthrop University. I’m available to share time and (virtual) space with you as you work toward change, healing, and GROWth! Have you been having a hard time trying to manage your thoughts and feelings alone? Are you frustrated with trying to be heard or understood by people around you who just don’t seem to get it, or are you frustrated with yourself for not doing what is in your best interests? Are you overwhelmed, not taking the best care of yourself that you could be, or longing to feel better? If any of this feels familiar, I want to celebrate you for taking steps to get connected to a helping professional to aid you in working to change that! I have over a decade of experience supporting and assisting women, men, and young adults in their work to make positive changes to their health and lives, via diagnostic assessments, pre-surgical psychological evaluations, talk therapy, and medical case management services. I have successfully assisted clients living with anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic health conditions (HIV, Diabetes, chronic pain, etc.), relationship issues, sexual health concerns, financial difficulties, parenting challenges, codependency, disordered eating, and intimate partner violence to better understand and manage their mental health symptoms and improve their overall functioning. I believe that engaging in therapy is one of the best things a person can do to safely carve out defined time to regularly focus on learning how to navigate internal and external stressors and challenges better, as well as how to attend to, care for, and love the self. I look forward to supporting and empowering you as we start where you are and work together to find ways to improve your quality of life and create more sustainable inner peace going forward.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients will feel more comfortable, motivated, and open-minded toward “doing the work” in a safe, confidential space. They will benefit from having a patient active listener, guide, and accountability partner as they work toward therapeutic goal achievement. They will have access to empathic support through discomfort that may arise in the process and space to express themselves, authentically. Upon completion of services, clients will better understand the genesis of their thoughts and feelings, be better equipped to pivot out of counterproductive behaviors, have a suite of coping practices to use, know how to proactively care for themselves and be able to create and maintain lasting change.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
