Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Dena! I am a trauma-informed therapist and work with veterans, geriatric populations, and adults to treat concerns such as depression, crisis intervention, trauma, PTSD. If you’re juggling careers, relationships, aging parents, and your own health—and all the while, the quiet weight of anxiety, trauma, or depression is weighing you down, affecting your quality of life. Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re facing chronic anxiety, emotional burnout, or simply feel lost in the chaos, you don’t have to carry it all alone. I offer a safe space to breathe, be heard, and heal. Together, we’ll work through the tough stuff—with kindness, clarity, and genuine support. You’ve carried so much for so long, and it’s time to lighten the load—one step at a time, with a little grace. My approach My approach to providing care with Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy is centered on creating a structured, compassionate, and trauma-informed environment where clients feel safe and supported throughout the process. I recognize that PE can be emotionally intense, so I place a strong emphasis on preparing clients for what to expect, helping them build coping strategies, and ensuring they have a sense of control over their treatment pace. My approach to using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is grounded in the belief that thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply interconnected. I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to their distress. By increasing awareness of these patterns, clients can begin to develop healthier, more adaptive ways of thinking and coping.
