Hi there, I'm Denice! My name is Denice Palacios. I was born and raised in California. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor with over 10 years in this field. What I have learned is that humans are remarkable. I earned my Associate?s degree from Rio Hondo College, my Bachelor?s from California State University, Northridge, and my Master?s in Social Work from California State University, Fullerton. My approach Licensed since 2018, I use behavioral, cognitive, interpersonal, and trauma-focused therapies. I believe helping people view life from various perspectives enables overcoming adversity. My focus I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, substance use, justice involvement, self-esteem, interpersonal, and trauma-related disorders. My communication style I create a space where individuals can speak their truth, communicating with kindness, acceptance, respect, and dignity. I connect with personal communication styles and help others gain skills to live more fulfilling lives. My journey to mental healthcare I became interested in this field after receiving therapy myself. Before therapy, I was unaware such support existed. I was a cosmetologist and believed in helping others feel better about themselves. I realized inner work is essential to this and want to continue supporting others, giving back what was once given to me.
