Denise Davis-moore, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Denise! I'm Denise Davis-Moore, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston and additional graduate training from the University of Pennsylvania. What are we doing? I'm going to ask you that at our first meeting and at every session after that. Our journey together will explore just that. You're not in therapy to wander aimlessly or waste time. You're here because you want something to change-you want to think differently, feel differently, DO something different. I'm here to help you figure out what that something is and how to make it happen. We'll talk, listen, laugh, cry, challenge, question, explore... and ultimately, we will figure it out. My approach is eclectic, drawing heavily on mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy. My focus is providing therapy to adults, couples, and families facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life's many difficulties. I am client-centered, non-judgmental, and solution-focused, leading with love, compassion, and respect. My communication style is open and affirming, culturally sensitive, and respectful of differences. I am always learning and committed to providing quality services to everyone, including BIPOC and LGBTQ communities, those who practice polyamory, and other non-traditional family units.
