Denise Rogers, LICSW

Psychotherapist
MA
Hi there, I'm Denise! In today's world, mental health support is needed more than ever. Mental health IS health. It's time to end the stigma and realize it's okay to not be okay. Finding a therapist can be a daunting process, but congratulations on taking the first step! As a therapist, I aim to foster an environment that is warm, collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Boston College, and I am licensed in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Illinois. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege to work with a vast array of individuals from all walks of life, including children and adolescents, adults, seniors, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. As a telehealth provider, I only treat adults over the age of 22. My approach I believe that the client is the expert on their own life and experience, and that their right to self-determination comes first. Through a strong therapeutic alliance, clients can gain insight and create lasting changes. All behavior has meaning. Oftentimes, we develop negative thought patterns and processes that cause distress and interfere with our day-to-day functioning. Sometimes the help of a trained professional is needed to retrain our way of thinking. My focus While engaging with clients, I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to foster an encouraging and safe atmosphere. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, aging, and chronic and terminal illnesses. My communication style My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe environment where we can explore your primary interests, develop goals, and identify and promote strengths as you move toward your aspirations. In the first session, I strive to make you feel safe and comfortable. We'll start with brief introductions and discuss your specific challenges.
