I work with adults who are dealing with a life change to help deal with all the difficult emotions: anxiety, depression, grief, worry, regret, anger, fear..... Welcome to a safe place to explore your emotions and your choices to live the life you want to live. My approach As a Social Worker, I take an eclectic approach to therapy. I find benefits come from both talk therapy and building skills from a variety of proven approaches, including CBT or DBT. The process is collaborative. The process is unique to you. You have the best understanding of your situation, but as your therapist, I can open the conversation about new ways of approaching your situation that might bring you to the life you want to live. My focus I provide a caring environment for adults of all ages. Although my graduate work focused on health changes, I have worked with people through job transitions, retirement, relationship changes, family stress, grief, and other life changes. My communication style I practice open communication as a two-way street. I will listen openly and non-judgmentally. I will share my observations gently. I am open to hearing your feedback. My first session with you During our first visit, we will get to know each other. I will be interested to hear what brought you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish. Starting isn’t always easy, and we will come back to your story and your goals in future sessions, so no pressure. Start where you want. Mostly I will listen, and sometimes I will ask questions to make sure that I am understanding correctly. We will start to build a plan that meets your goals for therapy.
