Hi there, I'm Dennis! I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 27 years, providing psychotherapy to adults, children, and families who want to improve their lives and overcome difficult life situations. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling from California State University, Sacramento. My approach I use CBT and DDT with a solution-focused approach to help clients improve their lives. My focus I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also work with couples and families to improve their relationships. My communication style I am straightforward and direct. I use homework to help clients overcome difficulties. My journey to mental healthcare I have been sought out my entire life by others for help in resolving internal conflicts. I was touched by suicide and volunteered over 200 hours in suicide prevention. I enjoy working with others and aiding individuals to find inner strength and overcome anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have taught over 200 graduate-level classes in marriage and family counseling. My goals for you I encourage clients to express their interpersonal goals, and together we agree upon goals for therapeutic services. My first session with you I will be on time, prepared, and thorough in assessing your needs. You can expect to be informed of your diagnosis at the end of our first session.
