Hi, my name is Desirae Giraldes, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. I have been a Social Worker for over 25 years, working in a variety of communities and settings throughout my career, including schools, medical placements, adult protective services, conservators office, and crisis residential. My focus throughout my career has been in the area of Mental Health.
In 2020, I shifted my focus to private practice therapy and found that this is where I truly belong. I love working one-on-one with others in a supportive and compassionate setting. I have worked with clients seeking support for a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and codependency.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I strive to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment and communication style. I understand that reaching out for help can be challenging. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and supported.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
