Hello All! Welcome! My name is Destiny, and I am a licensed professional counselor, certified trauma professional, and EMDR-trained therapist practicing in Georgia for four years. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have been involved in the mental health field for six years as a student, paraprofessional, advocate, and blogger. Over the years, I have worked with many diverse individuals and groups in inpatient, private practice, residential, and corrections settings. I specialize in trauma-informed care, mood disorders, and women's issues; however, I also work with many other concerns and populations. This experience has allowed me to deepen my understanding of people from different cultures, genders, sexualities, and races. My life motto and priority is: “Everyone is deserving of a safe space to heal and cope in the present moment.” With that, I welcome ALL to join me in a space free of judgment, where, as your therapist, I am here to actively learn your story and guide you on your journey toward peace.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After our first initial intake, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we discuss whatever present or past issues continue to cause disruption. As your therapist, I often go by the saying "I am only the conductor and you are the driver on your journey," so there is no pressure to push but only direct you to your goals in therapy.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
