Getting to know Diana Sun

As a licensed mental health counselor with a Master’s in Counseling from Alliance Theological Seminary, I believe in prioritizing your mental well-being. This involves identifying your self-care routine as well as uncovering the main stressor(s) affecting you. I have over 4 years of experience working with families and children. However, in the past two years, I have shifted my focus to individual young adults ages 18 and older who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, women’s issues, church hurt, and generational trauma.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I cater to each individual needs based on the presenting problem. Some approaches may work, some don't. That is why the purpose of treatment is explore those options to find the one that matches you. There may be many paths for you but there is only one true ending to your story.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I love to incorporate the "get to know you" basis. This consists of having a better understanding of who you are and how your life story began. My purpose is to create that safe space for you where you are seen and heard. Afterwards, we will collaborate on goals and how to make it work for you.
