Getting to know Diane Recob

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from Indiana University. I specialize in treating simple and complex trauma, neurodivergent traits (ADHD, ASD, sensitivities), and a variety of general mental health issues. I draw on several tools to identify and resolve the underlying events and experiences that are distressing and disruptive, including CBT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing. I am diligent about staying trained in the most current treatment approaches for trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions, drawing from the fields of neurobiology, neuropsychology, and best practices for trauma treatment. Currently, I am only working virtually. My belief is that you deserve to work with someone who truly understands your experience and how to help you heal and create the change you are seeking. It is most important that you feel seen and heard in a secure, safe place with unconditional positive regard. That is my goal in the environment I create for my clients. I love working with people who want to make meaningful changes in their lives so they can find the happiness they deserve! Whether it is mood issues, trauma, gender orientation, sexual orientation, or grief, the best part of my work is seeing people become the best, strongest version of themselves.

What should a new client know about working with you?

It is important that people feel they have a safe space unique to any other place in their lives. This is the space where you can express and explore thoughts and feelings in order to cultivate the quality of life you are looking for. I strive to give my clients that support along with tools and information so they may work towards building the experience in life they seek Our first few sessions will be dedicated to letting you share what brought you to therapy and what you'd like to accomplish in our time together. We will also define a treatment path and talk about how to move forward towards meeting your therapy goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I wanted to share my initial impressions. Her bio really stood out to me, as I was seeking help for ADHD but wasn’t entirely sure what else I might need but what her bio said resonated with me although couldn’t pinpoint why. The way she approached our first meeting and whatever initially drew me to her has been reinforced, and I feel hopeful about the journey ahead.
Diane had helped me so much in a short amount of time. I feel so lucky to have found her. EDMR for processing my past trauma had been life changing.
Diane is really great. She is genuine, caring and a great listener. She provides wonderful insight and feedback. I always look forward to our sessions.
Diane has been a literal lifesaver for me. I really appreciate the fact that I always feel like she's genuinely listening to me and really takes the time to understand me. Her approach to therapy is wonderful and I love that she meets the client where they are at. She takes the time to make sure she's on the same page as the client. I feel like she actually cares about me as a person, not just a client. She balances being a comforting support and pushing the client outside their comfort zone perfectly. 10/10 can and would recommend her to anyone.
Diane was really helpful. She was great to talk to. Helped me understand feelings I was having. Helped me to process fear. Her EMDR really does work. I know she is someone I can always work with through things and I’m really grateful to have met her!
