Hi there, I'm Diann Lynn! Hi! My name is Diann Rico Kaainoa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. I am here to help you have the life you always wanted! Difficult experiences can bring up feelings of anxiety, depression, or lack of direction, and it can be hard to know what to do. With a non-judgmental attitude and honesty, I will help you work through issues while identifying your inner strengths to become a happier and healthier version of yourself. I look forward to taking the journey of healing with you. My approach My approach to therapy varies based on each client's needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Humanistic Therapy, excellent modalities to help patients and therapists develop a shared understanding of life's challenges. My focus My style works well with older adults, adults, children, and families. It is challenging to deal with life changes that may cause anxiety, depression, and confusion. My communication style My communication style is calm, non-judgmental, and accepting. My life experiences have prepared me to understand and accept clients wherever they are in life. My journey to mental healthcare My interest in becoming a therapist began when I volunteered at a local domestic violence center. I met amazing women trying to understand the cycle of violence. I didn't know then that my presence helped victims. This experience sparked my interest in social work to help others realize their potential. My goals for you To help clients, it is important to develop goals that act as a roadmap for both client and therapist. These goals will be fluid and adjusted according to the client's presenting problem. My first session with you Clients can expect to spend most of the first session talking, allowing us to get to know each other and begin understanding your needs.
