Psychotherapist
OH
Hello, I'm Dianne. Growing up with a family member who had a serious mental illness instilled in me a deep empathy for others and sparked my passion for psychology. This personal experience drove me to pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology, and I knew I had to continue my education with a master's degree to provide mental health services to those in need. During my studies, I worked on a crisis unit, assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds who required comprehensive mental health services. This experience exposed me to a wide range of issues and needs, and I also had the opportunity to support individuals seeking vocational rehabilitation while they pursued employment. As a licensed mental health clinician, I have worked in community mental health, addressing a variety of mental health issues, and later in behavioral health within corrections. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy, making me adaptable and understanding of the unique challenges my clients face. My interest in telebehavioral health emerged from my cumulative experiences in the field. I have encountered many individuals who struggle with transportation, maintaining steady jobs, and managing interpersonal relationships, particularly in rural areas. The advent of mobile technology presented an opportunity to break down these barriers, allowing clients to access mental health services from anywhere they can find privacy. This innovation in online counseling was something I couldn't resist being a part of. I specialize in a variety of areas, including anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, dissociative disorders, family relationships, grief and bereavement, intimate and romantic relationships, OCD, psychosis and schizophrenia, PTSD, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming, trauma, and traumatic brain injury.

There was a weird background that made it difficult to concentrate. We talked for 30 minutes and then she sent me a package of information to complete. It was not what I was anticipating or needing.
