My name is Don Karcher, and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio. I also hold Licensed Chemical Dependence Counselor credentials in Ohio. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Spring Arbor University. I have been practicing as a social worker for close to 20 years, with experience in individual and group therapy across all walks of life, serving clients of any age and gender. While most of my experience has been in community mental health, I have also gained professional experience in private practice. My commitment to the clients I work with is paramount, and I place the highest importance on client care and well-being. I have worked with clients with backgrounds in addictions, severe and persistent mental health conditions, as well as anger management concerns. Additionally, I have supported clients across the spectrum of mental health, from mild to severe levels. I hope to make a difference in all my clients' lives and will continue to strive to deliver quality care to every client I work with.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When meeting for the first time with me, I will gather a comprehensive background, and begin to formulate a plan of treatment that is client-focused, as well as client-driven. When leaving that first session, I hope to have a clear understanding of what the client wants to get out of counseling, as well as leaving them empowered.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
