Hi there, I'm Don'Elle!
I have been a psychotherapist for five years. My approach is simple: you are the expert in your own life. My role is to empower individuals facing mental health challenges by providing tools and support to build the fulfilling life they envision. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) and hold a Master's in Social Work from Morgan State University.
My approach
I build my practice on a strength-based model, empowering clients to recognize and utilize their resilience and capabilities. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and a holistic approach to healing. This combination has led to significant positive transformations in my clients' lives.
My focus
I primarily work with individuals aged 18 and older from diverse cultural and racial backgrounds. My experience includes treating depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, women's issues, and supporting couples and families navigating their challenges.

My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to becoming a therapist has been unexpected and rewarding. Growing up, I wasn't sure which career path to follow until I overheard my cousin talking about her social work studies. Her story piqued my interest and led me to pursue this field. For five years, I worked as a social worker for the State of Maryland, where I realized I was providing more therapy than direct services. Recognizing my passion for helping others emotionally, I became a therapist in 2020.
