Donna Deadman, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Donna! I have 20-plus years as a School Counselor and 8 years working with teens and adults as a Licensed Professional Counselor. My approach I really like sessions to be informal. Almost like having coffee with a friend to build rapport. I also think its important to work collaboratively and create goals together so you can apply things you have learned in daily life. My focus Starting therapy can be a big step and the first move toward meaningful change. As a compassionate and experienced Counselor, I specialize in helping teens and adults in challenging situations and a variety of issues like depression and anxiety. I feel that honest, open dialogue is key to getting started. My communication style My Goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your challenges, gain new insights, and build confidence to move forward. My journey to mental healthcare I became a School Counselor over 20 years ago and discovered how much I like working with people and working through various issues. I decided to become licensed as an LPC and work online with teens and adults. My goals for you My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gestalt Therapy. Both approaches are practical in dealing with specific problems My first session with you First, I like to find out what brings you to counseling and what you would like to get out of counseling. Next, working collaboratively with the client, we set goals. I do talk about good appointment times, length of sessions, and then open it up to any questions you may have.
