Getting to know Drew Caldwell

I have a clinical background in treating high acuity mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, mood, and personality disorders. I have extensive experience working in foster care agencies, crisis service units, and community outpatient clinics. I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Chico. My Background and Approach My therapeutic approach is rooted in a humanistic perspective, utilizing cognitive and dialectical behavior modalities with an emphasis on mindfulness-based stress reduction and holistic nutrition. I am eager to work with clients who are self-aware and seeking a meaningful therapeutic connection.

What should a new client know about working with you?

An integral piece of the therapeutic process is to provide a safe and open environment in which people can be felt and listened to. At the root of this is rapport, which can be established through non judgment, curiosity, and compassion in the therapist-client relationship. It is this foundation for building one's capacity for developing tools that assist in reducing client symptoms and strengthening client abilities. The result is an increased sense of self awareness, efficacy, and regulation of one's internal and outer worlds.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Drew has been the best therapist I’ve ever had. He is thoughtful, wise, and helps you work through things utilizing your own strengths. Drew splashes in a wonderful concoction of CBT, mindfulness, and Buddhist practices. You are lucky to be able to talk with Drew, he opens up your horizons and lets you take a look at things from the outside in.
I loved my time with Drew! He is very welcoming and made me feel like I was talking to a friend. He gave several great coping mechanisms and books! 10/10 recommend!
