Drew Dahl, LCPC Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor & Clinical Supervisor I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University and I have experience working in private practice and prior to in academic settings as a special education teacher. I also currently serve as a clinical supervisor to provisionally licensed clinicians. I believe that there is hope in any situation and we can set and reach goals we find meaningful. I aim to create a space where clients feel respected, valued, and seen. My approach is collaborative and I work alongside clients to help them find moments of peace and purpose in a world that often involves suffering.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Areas of Focus / Specialties I work with individuals who are navigating: -Anxiety, panic, depression, grief & loss, and trauma -Men’s mental health issues -Parenting challenges -Teaching and educational professional stressors -All ages including children, teens, adults, couples, and families My work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Existential Therapy. I tailor sessions to each client’s needs, incorporating practices like goal and boundary-setting, building communication skills, developing strategies for challenging unhelpful thought patterns, mindfulness and breathing exercises, and finding ways to take responsibility for things we have control over changing. Clients often describe me as nonjudgmental, calm, and passionate. In sessions, you can expect a present and engaged listener, a gentle challenge, a discussion of options for handling stressors and approaching goals, and an encouraging response. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy conversations with close friends and family, spending time outdoors, cooking and grilling, and weight-lifting. I believe that therapy can be a foundation for healing and one of life’s most transformational experiences.
