Psychotherapist
OH
Hi, I'm Dustin! As an independently licensed social worker and chemical dependency counselor (LISWS & LICDC-CS) in the state of Ohio, I'm passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve better mental well-being. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health, and I'm here to support you through life's ups and downs with the guidance and tools you need for healing and personal growth. I graduated from Shawnee State University in 2007 and 2010, and in 2016, I completed my Master's in Social Science Administration (Social Work) at Case Western Reserve University. My journey in mental health care began with over a decade of service in the community mental health field at Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center. There, I worked as a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) therapist and eventually became the ACT/IDDT Team Leader. My role involved close collaboration with juvenile and adult courts, assisting judges in implementing innovative drug court programs. Before joining the Veterans Administration (VA), I also served as the Treatment Director of SUD outpatient and residential mental health crisis center programs at the Counseling Center, Inc., in Portsmouth, Ohio. My commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals with complex mental health and substance use disorders has driven me to expand service capacity and ensure that clients receive the highest standard of care and support. I specialize in helping clients with addiction, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, psychosis/schizophrenia, stress, grief/bereavement, and family relationships. My approach is client-centered and compassionate, focusing on creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we will work on developing strategies and skills to manage your mental health concerns and improve your overall quality of life. Feel free to reach out and ask questions. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey to better mental health!
