Edith Barfield, MSW, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hey, I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I’m really glad you’re here. Taking this step for your mental health is a big deal, and I’m genuinely proud of you for making it a priority. You don’t have to figure this out alone—I’m excited to embark on this journey with you and help you navigate this process at a pace that feels right for you. In our work together, I pull from a few different modalities in my wheelhouse: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotion regulation and boundaries, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma‐Focused CBT (T‐CBT) for shifting unhelpful thought patterns, Motivational Interviewing for getting unstuck and building momentum, Family Systems for understanding family dynamics, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for living more in line with what truly matters to you. We might lean on one approach or blend several, but the goal is always the same—to help you feel more grounded, more understood, and more equipped to handle real-life stress, not just “therapy room” problems

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
