“Edwin is honest with what he sees as issues in a relationship. And also knowing when he has "done his job" and not going to continue seeing/billing endlessly. He listens to see how he can assist and not just "listen" to do nothing like other therapists that would then follow it up with "and how does that make you feel". He gives feedback, offers solutions, "homework" and doesn't take sides. I would highly recommend him. What attracted me to him was that he is a Christian man, living in Chicago in the "neighborhood." Professionally, I think highly of him. Personally, I also think very highly of him. He was very helpful to my husband and I as we progressed toward getting to the ultimate life defining moment of choosing to start the process of becoming parents. We knew that in order to be good parents, we had to have a solid foundation in our relationship. Edwin helped to make sure that we addressed issues to continue laying the foundation to build a family.”

Getting to know Edwin Caraballo

I’ve spent over 20+ years with people whose lives have been impacted by anxiety, trauma, grief, crisis, violence, and other messed-up stuff no one likes to talk about. I became a therapist so I could work towards helping the hurting people in my community, Humboldt Park, Northwest side of Chicago. I want to be the one person who comes alongside a client and knows that I really have their back and understand them in a world where it seems no one understands each of them. I am a strength-based, cognitive-behavioral therapist and provide my clients with helpful strategies and tools to feel better overall. As an Ordained Minister at New Life Covenant, it has been a great honor and privilege to work with the hurting in the Humboldt Park Community. I love my job as a therapist. Helping people struggling with mental health issues find relief and joy once again is my greatest joy. Faith is really important to me. I work every day to grow in my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Without him, I would not be the man I am today. He has made me a better husband, father, minister, and therapist. Grow in my faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Be the best husband I can be to the woman that deserves to be honored and respected, provide my daughters and grandchildren with Godly wisdom to help them be the best they can be, and help my clients become stable, heal, and reach their goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

He is absolutely the greatest

Edwin is very solution oriented, intelligent and empowering. He is very professional and I am learning a great deal through my sessions with him. I am growing in areas that I didn't think I would be able to grow in and releasing in areas that I never thought I could release in. Thankful to God for having crossed our paths on this difficult journey.
He listen, doesn't judge, is open minded. He has compassion. Love more that he is Christian and understands we're I am coming from.
Edwin in a great listener. And he gives you real insights, while providing tools that can help you improve your personal and interpersonal relationships. Very friendly and genuinely kind.

I have been in therapy for one month. I am so glad I have connected with Edwin. He has been very helpful in working through my grief and depression and my ability to cope with the 1st year anniversaries April 24th, May 6th and May 13th, 2021 of the passing of three family members. Edwin is a therapist who is very down to earth, practical, encouraging, easy to talk to, and has a good sense of humor. I would highly recommend Edwin to a friend or loved one.
