Hi there, I'm Egypt! Egypt Buie, LCPC. I am EMDR trained and have a host of experience with trauma, MDD, and GAD. I hold an MEd in Rehabilitation Counseling from Coppin State University. My approach I believe in the client-led, client-centered therapeutic approach. However, I borrow from EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Adlerian therapy. My focus We are a good match if you struggle with intrinsic motivation, accountability, depression, anxiety, work stress, self-confidence, and navigating interpersonal relationships. I work with individuals (ages 13–60), couples, families, and host support groups. My communication style I am a safe space. Our sessions are your place to be your true and authentic self. Unmasking is welcome in our interactions. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been the person that people could confide in. Growing up, I provided support and guidance to my friends and family. I grew to love supporting others. My goals for you Goal setting is perhaps the most important part of starting your therapeutic journey. Goal setting is led by the client and is a collaborative process moving forward. My first session with you During our first session, please expect to provide background information related to what brings you to therapy. The rest of the session will be devoted to building rapport.
