Hi there, I'm Eleanor! I am Eleanor Stith-Merrill, LMHC, and a client-centered therapist who utilizes a variety of modalities to address mood disorders, trauma, and interpersonal relationship issues. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. My approach I use modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused, Insight Oriented, Mindfulness, and EMDR. Over the past 10 years, I have gained advanced training specializing in mood disorders and complex trauma, working with both adults and children while carefully considering cultural concerns and practices. My focus I work with adolescents, adults, and couples and have advanced training in anxiety and trauma. My communication style I am genuine and open-minded. I build rapport quickly and provide a safe space for clients to share and grow. My journey to therapy I chose this career after having a counselor when I was in 5th grade. I enjoy helping others and supporting them on their journey through life. My first session with you In the first session, I will share my expertise and get an understanding of your concerns. I generally include a small homework assignment to provide relief.
