“Everyone knows that when you start going to a new therapist the first couple sessions is them getting the information about you your history and why you’re there.
He asked the right questions, very attentive when I was speaking, make sure he was understanding what I was saying/trying to say.
Although I’ve only had one session with him, I can tell that he puts a lot of effort into making sure that things are running smoothly with insurance and my work/personal schedule. I really appreciate that about him.

Getting to know Elisha Naiditch
I have received formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Yeshiva University, where my education and subsequent training were psychodynamically oriented. In my continuous professional development, I have found the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to resonate deeply with my style and philosophical leanings.
What should a new client know about working with you?
The first couple of sessions will be dedicated to getting your story. What your current struggles are and their environmental/ developmental context. As the sessions continue, particular challenges will be given more focus and treatment strategies will be mutually developed.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My style is eclectic, incorporating behavioral methods as well as psychodynamic insight oriented discussion when relevant. I attempt to embody the principles of unconditional positive regard and respect for self determination. Most of the growth will happen outside the office and some clients find homework helpful in guiding that process, though it’s not mandatory when working with me. All that is required to start is a recognition that you could be more than you are now.
