Elizabeth Almanza, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Elizabeth! Hello, glad you are here! My name is Elizabeth Almanza. I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a strong background in mental health. I am committed to holding a safe and compassionate space for individuals navigating challenges in their lives. My goal is to help my clients achieve positive change through evidence-based practice. My approach My approach to therapy is strength-based and client-centered. I believe not one modality fits all clients, but I often utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to empower clients to create positive changes. My focus I primarily work with adults and young adults in individual sessions who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. My communication style Creating a relaxed, safe, and supportive environment is fundamental to my practice. My goal is to make clients feel heard, supported, and understood. Feeling comfortable and safe are key to creating a space where clients can grow and be challenged. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began when I struggled to find my way in college. I cared deeply about helping others and creating pathways for growth but didn’t know how to foster it. After meeting with a counselor and discussing my struggles, they supported me in selecting a major aligned with this value. I earned a Bachelor’s in Human Development and a Master’s in Social Work from California State University Long Beach, which provided the foundation and tools to help others. After completing my degree, I worked in spaces that taught me about community and the importance of raising voices of those who go unnoticed. Helping others find their voice and strength again continues to drive me. Sometimes all we need is a little guidance and support to get back on our path.
