“My Husband and I absolutely Love working with Elizabeth. She knows how to help guide the conversation and at the same time handle us both with care. She is direct, but gentle and gives us techniques and makes us think. I love how she helps us look at each others perspective of thinking. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need. I love how she includes God in it because we are working on our walk with the Lord. Getting to know Elizabeth Dubiel

Hello! At the beginning, my focus will be on getting to know you. Everyone has a story to tell, and as you share yours, I will be looking for your personal character strengths (we all have them). Your character strengths will help you achieve the positive change(s) you are seeking. Once I understand your strengths, we will combine them with new strategies and supports from a variety of research-based resources. It is my goal that each counseling session be preventative, proactive, and empowering. Often, you will be given homework so the therapy continues even when we are not meeting. My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, grief, couple/marriage counseling, Christian counseling, identity issues, recovery after separation or divorce, infidelity, new transitions, career/college counseling, general stress, work environment issues, impostor syndrome, teacher/administration/education work-related stress, the stress that comes with being a parent, infertility, and feeling overwhelmed with responsibilities. My career began in education and spanned 18 years, including roles as an elementary teacher, middle school guidance counselor, high school guidance counselor, and college adjunct professor. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. In my current position as a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC), I have been in practice for seven years. I absolutely love what I do and take the job very seriously.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Hopefully, you leave our sessions feeling better than you did before we started. At the beginning of each session, whatever is weighing on your heart is addressed first. If there isn't anything weighing on your heart, then we focus on any homework you did since the previous session; how the strategies we've been talking about have been working; and new strategies to try. Throughout the process, we will work towards completing goals you create for yourself. We are a team--if a strategy does not work, I will find one that is a better fit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Elizabeth has really helped me to work through some challenges, and she has also challenged me to grow.
So easy to talk to. She makes it easy to work through painful topics.
Completely accessible and helps clearly direct and organize a better balance for my life

Elizabeth is amazing. She makes me feel empowered and lets me know I’m doing the right things. She’s helpful and mindful and lets me see things from a different perspective so I’m not stuck in my head. She’s a wonderful person and I thank her daily in my head for how far I come each and every day.
I had tried one other therapist previously who left me feeling worse than before I started my sessions, so I was hesitant to try therapy again. From my first session with Elizabeth I felt comfortable to share my true feelings and be myself. She is compassionate and attentive and knows when to listen and when to offer advice. In just a handful of sessions she has already given me some tools that are helping change my way of thinking and lessen my anxiety. I could not ask for a better therapist!
Elizabeth has helped me in many ways. I can’t imagine where I would be without her help. She is extremely smart, kind, and professional.
I followed Elizabeth from the previous counseling group she was employed at. I love the support and encouragement she’s given me through my journey and I can’t imagine going elsewhere. Elizabeth is a gem.
Elizabeth brings both an academic approach and an authentic persona to our sessions. Not only does she send monthly newsletters providing her clients with articles, assessments, books, and reflective questions, but she shows up ready for wherever the conversation takes us. Very professional and also relatable.
She’s a great counselor!!!
Phenomenal counselor. I’m very critical and analytical of every aspect when speaking to individuals. Even if I disagree with her, and challenge her, she doesn’t necessarily back down, but can articulate specifically why she feels that way, and not in an argumentative tone. I have a lot of respect for this woman- and that doesn’t come cheap.
She makes us feel cared about by listening and offering tools to use in whatever situation we’re in. Blessed to have found her!
I am so grateful for Elizabeth! She's encouraging, warm, and an excellent listener. She's made a difference in my life personally and professionally -- I'm so glad I found her!
