Psychotherapist

Do you often feel confused, frustrated, or stressed out in life? Do you feel disconnected from yourself or others? Do you engage in self-destructive behaviors that lead to guilt or shame? If you are nodding your head, you are not alone! Many of my clients have come to me with similar concerns. In session, I provide a space for clients to feel heard and aim to foster a collaborative relationship that leads to personal growth and empowerment. I work with individuals to build self-confidence and a satisfying life by helping them understand their values and leverage their strengths. Most of my experience has focused on issues related to self-image, identity, trauma, substance abuse, binge eating, anxiety, and depression. My primary modalities are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology, but I also use a variety of interventions from other approaches, including person-centered, CBT, DBT, and Gestalt therapies. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outside with my husband and young daughter, cooking, and trying to practice yoga daily-ish. I look forward to learning more about you and encourage you to reach out with questions or visit my website for more information! Telehealth appointments are available to residents of Tennessee, and I am now offering in-office sessions in Gray, TN.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work hard to understand your individual needs and preferences and take great care to offer nonjudgmental treatment. I encourage feedback and questions from all of my clients, we are a team in this process!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

All clients start with an intake session when we can discuss specific needs and preferences for treatment. At that point, most clients will start by having a 45-50 minutes session once a week or every other week. As progress is made, sessions typically become less frequent but can continue as needed.
