Getting to know Elizabeth Nailling

"Are you feeling stuck in a cycle that feels impossible to get out of? Or maybe you're holding on to hope of becoming your best self, but there's always something getting in the way. Even if you know exactly what these barriers are for you, taking a deeper look at them can be extremely overwhelming or anxiety-provoking. If you are a young adult who is ready to let go of the unnecessary weight holding you back, you are certainly not alone and you've come to the right place. I use a predominantly cognitive-behavioral approach, which provides plenty of tools and freedom to tailor therapy to your specific needs and preferences. I specialize in working with clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, and general life stress. It is crucial for you to feel safe, comfortable, and free to be yourself in therapy. I will work openly and collaboratively with you to develop and maintain that optimal therapeutic relationship from the beginning to the end. We'll explore and identify what's been getting in the way and develop a plan together on how to best address and deal with what's been blocking you. You will learn and practice skills in and outside of sessions such as mindfulness, problem-solving, cognitive coping, and communication and assertiveness training, which will help you to better manage your thoughts and feelings in stressful situations. Together, we will develop a plan to address the core issues that are getting in your way at a pace that you feel comfortable with. I truly feel privileged as a therapist to witness clients having aha moments where they connect the dots, overcome their fears, accomplish their goals, and manifest the lives they want for themselves. Empowering you to find the power that's always been within you is why I am in this field. I continue to be in awe of the bravery and incredible work clients put into this process. I am also passionate about removing the stigma attached to receiving mental health care, because it is quite senseless.
