Getting to know Elizabeth Pieper

The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. They earned a Master’s in Counseling from California State University, Stanislaus and are currently employed at One Life Counseling. Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, perfectionism, or the pressures of daily life? Are your relationships, work, or personal goals leaving you drained or unsure of your next steps? Have you experienced loss, trauma, or periods of self-doubt that feel impossible to move beyond? If so, you’re not alone, and I’m here to support you exactly where you are today. Together, we can create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings, gain clarity, and develop practical tools to reduce stress, improve your relationships, and build the confidence and balance you’ve been seeking.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with adults of all genders, including LGBTQ+ individuals, who are navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship challenges, depression, grief, trauma, or identity-related concerns. Many of the people I support are high-achieving, thoughtful, and capable—yet privately overwhelmed, stuck in self-doubt, or exhausted from trying to meet everyone’s expectations. If this resonates with you, you’re not alone, and things can feel different. My approach is genuine, attentive, and focused on what truly creates change. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns that fuel your stress, impact your relationships, or keep you feeling disconnected. You’ll learn practical tools to manage anxiety, communicate more effectively, set healthier boundaries, and move through life with greater calm and clarity. I integrate person-centered therapy with evidence-based practices from CBT and DBT to offer support that is both compassionate and practical. Therapy with me is a space where you can be honest without judgment, understand yourself more deeply, and build the confidence to make meaningful shifts. If you're ready to feel less overwhelmed, more grounded, and more connected in your relationships and daily life, I’m here to help guide that process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our sessions, you can expect a calming and non-judgmental space where you can feel at ease and look forward to therapy! I offer convenient in-person or virtual appointments in San Carlos or Burlingame, California.
