Hello, my name is Elizabeth Rohskothen, and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from MidAmerica Nazarene University. I'm certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help bring relief to clients. My approach I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage their thoughts and feelings. Both approaches are very effective with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and managing thoughts in a healthy manner. My focus I typically work with clients who have anxiety, depression, spiritual issues, and relationship problems. I see people of all ages and have many years of experience helping adults and teens. My communication style I want to provide a safe space for clients. I'm friendly, down to earth, and have a direct approach. I strive to respect and understand clients while being sensitive to their needs. My journey to mental healthcare I was a teen mentor as a teenager and wanted to help others by making an impact. When clients talk about feeling relief and working on themselves, it motivates me to do this work. My goals for you We will discuss the expectations of therapy and how best to help you. I assign skills practice to help you meet your goals. My first session with you We will have introductions and take a look at your concerns. We will explore some goals you want to work on in therapy.
