Getting to know Elizabeth Schaefer
Hi there! I am Elizabeth, an LCSW licensed in the state of Illinois. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Ever since I was young, I have always had an innate sense to help others and truly believe everyone can benefit from therapy. In my experience, I have worked with several different populations ranging from adolescents to the elderly. Whether you're dealing with stress, relationship conflict, cycles of anxiety and depression, or just feeling in a funk, I'm here to help. I know therapy can be overwhelming, but choosing to begin is a huge step, so I am happy you are here! I will meet you where you are comfortable in your healing journey, and I would never take a client somewhere that I would not be willing to go myself in the healing process. Together, we can collaborate to develop goals, pace, and expectations so that you feel your needs are being met during each session. I look forward to meeting you!

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
