Elizabeth Shelton, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
I am L. Elizabeth Shelton, GA LPC 008242, and have been fully licensed since 2012, originally in Virginia and since 2015 in Georgia. I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. My theoretical orientation to therapy is CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) because I believe it is critical to understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact and drive most of the problems people struggle to overcome. I have had training in a variety of modalities, covering a range of symptoms from anxiety, depression, mania, and psychosis, but the area I continue to gravitate towards is working with trauma. I am a CCTP-I and utilize my training from my certification as well as from TF-CBT and DBT to help individuals work towards overcoming and thriving after surviving traumatic and frightening experiences.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
