Psychotherapist
TX
I hold a Master's degree in Counseling and have a deep passion for supporting individuals facing mental health challenges, especially those from marginalized and underserved communities. Since childhood, I've been drawn to helping others, which naturally guided me toward a career in mental health care. My therapeutic approach is rooted in mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy, offering clients practical tools for healing and personal growth. Facilitating change in behavior to enhance, maximize, and maintain optimal functioning is my primary goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, spending quality time with my family, and being outdoors - activities that keep me grounded and balanced. My approach CBT focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors to develop healthier patterns, while mindfulness teachers present moment awareness and acceptance without judgment, helping to observe thoughts and feelings without reacting impulsively. This approach is particularly effective for managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation and helps clients to relate differently to their thoughts and emotions and most of all…..foster long-term resilience. My focus The ideal client will have managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation, including worry, panic, avoidance, low motivation, negative self-talk, rumination, being overwhelmed, difficulty sleeping, poor boundaries, impulsivity to name a few. To support their needs, it's important to assess properly, individualize, build rapport and relationship, pace properly, assign relevant activities, and encourage self-compassion and grace My communication style My communication style is a combination of body language, direct eye contact, and tone that establishes trust, promotes respect, safety, and acceptance. Validation is important as well to give clients a safe place to process, buy into the therapeutic process,
