Elizabeth Stager, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Elizabeth! My name is Elizabeth Stager, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Rome, Georgia. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. My approach My approach to therapy depends on the needs of the client. However, I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and tend to gravitate toward this modality the most. I also integrate other approaches: faith-based, Person-Centered, Strength-Based, and Motivational Interviewing. My focus I enjoy working with a wide variety of age groups, including children, teens, young adults, and families who may be struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, traumatic experiences, low self-esteem, and more. My communication style My communication style is peaceful, authentic, and accommodating. I want my clients to feel safe and free from judgment while also being challenged to meet their personal goals. My hope is for clients to leave differently than how they came. My journey to mental healthcare I have always had a desire to help others but did not recognize it would be through therapy until I went to college. For me, it has been rewarding to watch others step into freedom and make progress toward their personal goals. My goals for you My approach to goal setting is collaborating together to better define what you hope to accomplish during our time together. My first session with you Clients can expect the first session to be a time when I may ask the most questions because I am trying to get a better understanding of what the problem may be. We may spend time talking about what brought you to seek therapy, symptoms you have been experiencing, if you have gone to therapy before, and more.
