Welcome! Maybe you're feeling stuck and burnt out, unsure about a decision, or fearful about the next step? All reasonable feelings -- we live in a challenging time where there's a lot to consider. With a background in helping individuals navigate life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression, I'm open to hearing about whatever you might be experiencing. I take an engaged, non-pathologizing approach -- my hope is to support you in what YOU want for your life. Reach out to see how we might work together :) My approach My approach is eclectic, collaborative, and warm. I seek to honor what you already know (your lived experience) and assist in mapping out possibilities for the future. My focus Grounded in the idea that there's no "right" way a person "should" live, I co-explore possibilities with clients when challenges (such as relationship issues, life transitions, feelings of failure or stuck-ness) show up. My communication style In terms of my communication style, I bring: curiosity in the service of reflection, non-judgment so that you can freely express yourself, and, when helpful, some humor and lightheartedness. My journey to mental healthcare My path to becoming a mental health provider included: an introduction to postmodern theory in my undergrad (especially as it applied to art/ art history), mindfulness meditation practices, educational travel experiences that honored ways of living that were different from American cultural norms, and work experience in both the entertainment and advertising industries that focused on unique storytelling. Given my background and interests, I particularly enjoy supporting clients who find themselves in transition or in a new life chapter, i.e., out of college and into the working world, thinking about a career change, new chapter of partnership, first-time parenting, or moving to a different city.
