Hey there! I'm glad you are here. I became a therapist because I care about supporting others through thick and thin. I use various evidence-based practices and would love to help you start working toward your treatment goals. I believe everything is connected, so I like to explore various aspects of life, like family, friendships, work/school, health, etc., and see how they may be affecting your mental health. I also use cognitive behavioral therapy to focus on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, along with dialectical behavioral therapy to suggest skills to use in daily life. If you have difficulty with overthinking, regulating emotions, being mindful, or managing stress, I provide a safe space to share about these types of issues and more. I have a toolbox of skills and practices that I enjoy sharing to improve mental health. I provide a safe, open space to talk about daily challenges. I value spending time validating and processing these challenges while finding ways to problem-solve. I also add a touch of humor that past clients have really appreciated. I have always enjoyed getting to know others and talking on a deeper level. I was first introduced to mental health services in college after seeking out treatment for myself. I experienced how talking about issues and receiving support and treatment from a professional changed my life, and I am passionate about providing similar care to others. Together, we will discuss current problems or areas for growth and develop specific, measurable goals. I will offer interventions and suggestions to support reaching these goals. The treatment plan is always flexible and can be adapted as life changes. During our first session, we will spend some time getting to know one another and identifying what you want to work on. Honestly, it may feel a little awkward at first, but that often wears off quickly. We will take everything one step at a time.
