I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma and grief issues in children and adults. I hold a MEd in Guidance and Counseling from the University of North Carolina. When our children struggle, we struggle too. With decades of experience working with children and families in many different life situations, I can help your child and you learn skills to cope with life stressors. As a nationally certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral therapist, I am trained in evidence-based therapies that will help your family work through difficult situations. I also treat adults struggling to adapt after the sudden, traumatic death of a loved one.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your sessions with me will be informative and engaging. Initial sessions will involve history-taking and relationship-building as we work together to define your treatment goals. At first, sessions will involve a lot of history collecting on my part, as we work together to develop a therapeutic plan. You will leave sesions with tangible skills to practice in your every-day life.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
