Hi there, I'm Emanuel! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in southern California. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. I have been a therapist for 7 years with an additional 5 years of related mental health work. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including community mental health, adolescent psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities, and residential care facilities for elderly individuals. My focus is working with late-stage adolescent to early adulthood males seeking guidance and understanding as they form their identity (ages 16-24 years old). Additionally, I look forward to working with couples seeking to improve their relationship through research-based methods such as pre-marital or marriage therapy. My approach My approach to therapy is heavily grounded in and guided by early caregiver bonds, CBT, TF-CBT, Mindfulness, Existential, and Narrative therapies. I am dedicated to the healing process through the discovery of the client’s story, personal values, motivations, hopes, dreams, and actions. Additionally, I am training in the Gottman Method of marriage therapy to provide my clients with research-based treatment to improve their relationships. My focus I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral concerns, and identity formation. I have found my style and approach fit well with young males ages 16-24 seeking guidance and understanding of their mental health as they form their identity. I also look forward to working with couples seeking to improve their relationship through research-based methods such as pre-marital or marriage therapy. My communication style I have a client-centered approach to therapy. I am interested in hearing my clients’ stories while using open-ended questions to explore their thoughts and feelings. I approach therapy with warmth, empathy, and reflective listening.
