Looking at past trauma and facing addiction can feel intimidating, and you aren’t meant to do it alone! I'll be with you every step of the way. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Post Induction Therapy (PIT) to get to the root of the problems keeping you stuck, isolated, and in survival mode. I'll be the compassionate guide who tells you the truth and gives you a soft place to land. For me, there is nothing better than watching the light come back to someone's eyes as they gain insight and make real change in their life! It's a privilege and honor to hold my clients' stories as they grow and connect with their authentic selves. I had a nomadic upbringing in a military family. By the time I graduated high school, I’d lived in seven different states. As a child, I absorbed the energetic impact of the world around me, keenly attuned to the people and dynamics in any room. While this sensitivity used to overwhelm me with anxiety, I've come to embrace it as my superpower today! If you'd told my younger self I'd be a therapist, I would probably have lost my mind. I saw a counselor for the first time in 3rd grade. She wore thick makeup, had big hair, and talked too much about our shared birthday. I didn't go back to counseling until I was 25, a struggling young mother. I wasn't sure what to expect walking into the unmarked building and waiting room. What I discovered was magical: someone genuinely listened to me for a full hour, sincerely liked me despite my emotional mess, and engaged me in new ways of thinking and problem solving. My therapist, Deb, played a pivotal role in transforming my life. I wanted to do what Deb did. When the time was right, I completed my bachelor’s degree and went to graduate school for Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary Student Service Center—one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
